Royal Ballet (ballet) £4 5.15-5.45pm Age 3 (pre-school) -Reception
DanceBugs (ballet & tap) £5 5.45-6.30pm Year 1 - Year 3
Pop Dance (modern) £5 6.30-7.15pm Year 2 - Year 6
Our Dance teachers, Miss Jenny & Miss Rebecca, will guide the class through the ballet, tap or modern dance syllabus from the International Dance Rewards (IDR). Children will have the opportunity to undertake their dance certificates regualrly and perform in public performances whilst building social skills, listening skills, confidence and co-ordination.
Royal Ballet (ballet) This beautiful class is specially designed for young children just starting out on their dance adventures. They will be guided through weekly, enchanting fiarytale themes as they learn to listen, take turns and develop physical coordination and the building blocks of ballet skills.
DanceBugs (ballet & tap)
This is the next step for children who have developed an appreciation of dance and are able to use their developing coordination skills to learn 2 genres of dance. Keen children in Year 2 & Year 3 may do ballet & tap, followed by modern class
Pop Dance (modern)
Pop dance class is fun and funky. Pupils will gain fitness, stength and social skills whilst also following the IDR curriculum and work towards gainging their awards. Modern dance will cover travelling, positions, poise, choreography and various dance steps and styles.
Uniform:
New pupils are not required to purchase our uniform or dance shoes until they have decided to definitely continue with their dance education. School shoes can be worn for tap, trainers for pop and socks for ballet.
